Adobe recently added a new feature in the Sky Replacement window called “Edge Lighting”. It helps blend the transition from sky to foreground and for certain sky replacements can really help out. In this week’s tutorial we’ll take a closer look.

Thanks for sharing Matt! It will be interesting to try
A typical Matt Kloskowski video – great content, complete and easily understood. Matt is one of the best Adobe educators out there today. Thank you.
Matt, Thank you so much for your tutorials! I so appreciate you!
i didn’t even know that a tool named edge lighting was there.
thank you for this very useful tutorial.
Matt, I get the same halo when i do a sky mask, modify the highlights of the sky to bring out the sky. Is there something like this for that? I know in on1 i can use the chisel tool.
Hi Ed. The Select & Mask window in Photoshop may help with it’s “Refine Edge” brush.
Thank you for all the information about this new feature!
Thanks for pointing this feature out. Always enjoy your smiling face! and egalitarianism. I can’t hear you say too much “Take the picture you want and edit how you want”, paraphrase. I continue to struggle with other peoples’ critique in my head. You encourage exploration and self determination.
Hi Keith. Glad to help. Remember other people’s opinions are worth exactly what you paid for them 😉
