I was away at Photoshop World last week and it’s almost impossible to keep up on news, let alone write about it. But as I catch up, I wanted to let all of you ON1 users out there know that they recently announced their new 2020 version (coming soon) as well as some new products too.

ON1 Photo Raw 2020

This is the next version of the raw processor. Some of the new features include AI-powered stuff, four filters in Effects (Weather, Sun Flare, Color Balance, Channel Mixer), Custom Camera Profiles with X-Rite, SmugMug integration, improved noise reduction, a map view, a Print Module, and speed/performance enhancements.

Word on the street (which is really no street anywhere) is that Yours truly will have some of his own sun flare filters included in this release! 😉

ON1 Video 2020

This is a totally new product aimed at people who also shoot video and need a quick editing solution. I’m excited to see this one. I have to do light video editing from time to time and you’ve never seen anyone fumble around a program like watching me in Premier!

ON1 Photo Mobile 2020

This is mobile solution most ON1 users have been waiting for. I know a lot of people think that adding “mobile” to a product is there for iPhone photographers and you couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s not meant to get you to use your camera on your phone more, but instead to allow you to edit your photos you take on any camera, all in one cohesive program regardless of device. It’s been that way with Adobe, and I think it’ll be a welcomed addition for ON1 too.

ON1 Sync Services

ON1 Sync brings ON1 Photo RAW to all of your computers and mobile devices. It syncs the photos you care about, to the devices you care about. You don’t have to store your photos in the cloud, or on every computer, to view and edit them on your devices. It can send your photos from one device to another wirelessly, like your phone photos back to your desktop. It even syncs all your albums and presets.

There definitely looks like some great stuff on the horizon, so stay tuned. I’ll definitely post more for all of you ON1 users as this stuff becomes available.
