Why Won't My Presets/Course Download?
- Please confirm that you are downloading to a computer and not a phone/tablet. *Our courses and presets download as zip files and can’t be downloaded to a phone/tablet.
- If you have any anti-virus software installed please disable it and try the download.
- Some of our courses (ie. The Lightroom System/Photoshop System/) are quite large and may take a few minutes to download depending on your download speed.

If you have a slow internet connection and can’t download please send us an email, we’ll work together to figure out a solution

If you try to navigate to the local corrections folder and don’t see it please copy and paste the relevant link below into your browser and it’ll explain how to show hidden folders (you can find the links in the 0-Brush-Training-Video-Outline.pdf too).
How To Show Hidden Files:
If on Windows please show hidden folders by doing the following
- Open File Explorer from the taskbar.Â
- Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
- Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.
(if you get to the Camera Raw folder and there’s not a local correction folder, simply create a folder and name it Local Corrections inside of the Camera Raw folder.

5. Restart Photoshop

How do I install Profiles into Lightroom?
Then, navigate to the Camera Raw > Settings folder and copy the .xmp preset files to that folder. Here is an alternate method of locating that folder:
- Mac: ~ / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / Settings
- Windows: C: \\ ProgramData \\ Adobe \\ CameraRaw \\ Settings
Alternately, you can access the folder with this method:
- Open Lightroom (make sure it is updated to the new version)
- Go to Lightroom > Preferences
- Click the “Preset” section at the top
- Click the “Show Lightroom Presets Folder”
- Ignore the folder it highlights, and instead go up to the Camera Raw folder and open it
- Open the Settings folder and copy your .xml presets files into this folder
- Restart Photoshop or Lightroom Classic and the presets/profiles should be installed.
I get the "Wrong Preset Type" or "Invalid File Type"Error
This could mean a couple of things.
1. You’ve tried to put presets of one type (say Develop) into the wrong module (like Print). Please Note that Brush Presets, Print Templates are installed and accessed differently than Develop Module Presets.
2. You’re importing the wrong file. If importing the Preset System presets, make sure you’re importing the files located in Preset Files folder (City-Street.zip, Landscapes.zip etc) and not the Matts-Preset-System.zip file.
3. The presets are not compatible with your version of Lightroom. The Preset System and Brush and Gradient System presets are not compatible in Lightroom 6 and earlier versions.Â
