I’ve been getting a TON of questions on the latest Lightroom and Photoshop updates. It seems there’s a small bug where the “Compatibility” error dialog comes up if you jump from Lightroom to Photoshop. It looks something like this.
The dialog usually pops up when your version of Lightroom isn’t in sync with the Camera Raw version you have in Photoshop.ย But if you have the latest and greatest installed, it shouldn’t show up.
Adobe has it listed on a page as “erroneous” and suggests you just click Open Anyway. I’d also suggest clicking the “Don’t Show Again” checkbox. That way you don’t have to deal with it again. But everything works just fine. It doesn’t mess with the quality of your photo or your workflow at all.
So there’s your friendly neighborhood public service announcement for the day ๐ Have a good one!

I love teaching and photography... In that order. I feel that enjoying photography, and photo editing can get WAY too complicated. So my personal mission (and favorite thing to do), is to create education that simplifies the process of taking great photos, and how to edit them to get the results youโve always wanted.
