Landscape “Darken Sky” Brush
Works great for overcast and dramatic skies to really pull out the details and clouds.
Dodge Burn “Lights On” Preset
Includes presets to help brighten or turn the lights on to complete your vision for a dark photo.
Landscape “Tack Sharp” and “Sunshine” Brush
The sunshine brush was used to add light in the center and the “tack sharp” brush was used to add detail.

Is this Part of Your Lightroom System Course?
No. Think of the Lightroom System course as your encylopedia to Lightroom. It “widely” covers everything in Lightroom, but doesn’t go in “deep” in to anything.
So… while the Lightroom System will be updated with a new video on the basics of using the Brush and Masking tools, it will not dive deep in to any one part. For example, Brushes and masking will occupy about 15 minutes of training in the Lightroom system on how to use them. This mini course is over 2 hours of video that dives much deeper with many more examples.
Will My Old Brush Presets Still Work?
Yep. When you upgrade Lightroom everything will work just fine.Â
Is This An Update To Your Brush/Gradient System?
No, this is a brand new product. The Brush and Gradient System was created in 2018 and based on the old Brush settings and local adjustment settings. While the Brushes still work, the videos included in that system are now outdated and things have changed significantly.Â
This course is a Deep Dive course in to the new masking adjustments in Lightroom. And… (as a bonus) it also includes updated versions of my Brush/Gradient presets too.
If I purchased the old Brush/Gradients do I get this for free?
No. This is a new product with 2 hours of brand new videos not available anywhere else.
Let me make this simple… Think of it this way… for $29 I guarantee you that I have put enough value in to the training to make it worth something twice the price. And for $29 I promise the presets are above and beyond. So either way, it’s well worth $29 – even if you don’t want one part or the other.Â
Is there a discount if I already purchased the old Brushes?
No. The old brushes were released nearly 3 years ago and still work today. You can still use them.
But I have put enough time and energy into creating this Deep Dive course, as well as updating the presets for the latest version, that it is a new product and not an update to the old Brush/Gradient system. In other words, even if you did purchase the old Brush/Gradient System, the new training and presets in this product are worth the upgrade.Â
What Software / Versions will I need?
Lightroom Classic – You will need the subscription version of Lightroom Classic version 11 (October 2021 Update).
Photoshop – You will need Photoshop 2022 (October 2021 Update).
Lightroom “Cloud” – You will need Lightroom “cloud” version 5 – however the presets WILL NOT work in this version.Â

How do I install the presets?
Why won't these work on Lightroom version 6, 5 or 4?
For starters, nothing covered in this deep dive works in older versions including the presets. Next, Older versions of Lightroom are no longer supported by Adobe. As a content creator I can’t support software that the creator doesn’t even support anymore.

Who Is Matt?
If I could sum myself up in to one sentence I’d say that I’m a guy who really loves to teach. When I think about what I enjoy most in this industry, it’s helping people learn about photography and photo editing.
I believe that successful photography (both in camera and after) is where taste and skill meet.
A lot of people don’t know this, but I don’t shoot professionally anymore. At all! I have ZERO ego attached to my photography which means I don’t have any trade secrets, and I hold ABSOLUTELY NOTHING back (because my job is to teach, not shoot).
