Big Sur Pfiefer Beach
Today I visited the same beach from yesterday’s post (Pfiefer Beach). I didn’t stay right until sunset, because I had another location I wanted to hit, but I did grab a few shots of the sea arch with the sun behind it (and without the foggy cloudy weather).
Yesterday was just so gray that I felt like it worked in B&W, but today’s feels like it works better in color to me.

I love teaching and photography... In that order. I feel that enjoying photography, and photo editing can get WAY too complicated. So my personal mission (and favorite thing to do), is to create education that simplifies the process of taking great photos, and how to edit them to get the results you’ve always wanted.

Hi Matt, I personally think it looks better in color as opposed to black and white. I, like Don Bromberg, like the swirling effect you have on the surf. You’re really lucky to be able shoot in that area of the world.

I like the swirling effect of the surf, and the alpine like glow around the arch. I also like the color better than the black & white. I’m looking forward to stories from this trip and the tips as always.
I really like the shaft of light and the movement of the waves.
