Hi all. Merry Christmas and happy holidays. I’ve seen enough gift guides out there with gear and software and tech and all that stuff. So I thought I’d create one that would get people out shooting. In this short 7 minute video, you’ll hear about 3 things you can gift some one (or yourself) this Christmas that I think could have a BIG impact on your bird and wildlife photography.

Great suggestions Matt, many thanks! Just want to add that mid-April – to early May in Texas is migration heaven. Anywhere you go the birds are abundant along the coast. I can personally attest that Laguna Seca is a great place for photographing birds. Ruth Hoyt was our leader and was a true professional. Winter and Spring are preferable to the dead heat of summer in South Texas. Cheers!
Thank you Matt! Another helpful and inspirational video. Happy Holidays. Have a great trip, be safe, see you next year!
great
This is a great idea to bring the photographers close to home, the own backyard might help, any state has State Parks or National Parks that offer numerous opportunities for a bird-photographer. I always loved to go around in Florida’s parks, the Big Bend NP in Texas or a Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. It seems that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
Merry Christmas to Matt and his family and all other people on the other side of the ocean.
Wow, they all sound fabulous. Thanks for the ideas Matt.
Best wishes for a healthy and happy holiday to you and yours!
Matt – I see that Laguna Seca Ranch’s website says this: “bait for raptors” on their pricing page. I feel strongly that baiting raptors is highly unethical! Please take a stand on this, a lot of photographers value your opinion.
Thanks so much Matt. Wishing you and your family a wonderful ski trip and Christmas!
Thanks, Matt. May take you up on the Gainesville suggestion.
Thanks Matt! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, Matt!!
great idea, thanks for the suggestions
