Today I thought I’d share a video that shows how the new Landscape masks in Lightroom and Camera Raw can be used in various genres of photography. You’ll see how everything from portrait to wildlife photos can take advantage of these masks and why you need to incorporate them in to your workflow. Enjoy!
Free Preset (You’ll hear about this in the video)
The video below mentions a free preset. The link mentioned and sign up form are ONLY for new people. If you made it to this page, you came from an email from me. In that case, there’s no reason to sign up. Just click here to download the free preset and install instructions since you’re already part of my email community. (Note: You’ll need to have the latest versions of Lightroom or Photoshop installed for this to work. If you have trouble getting the latest versions to download please contact Adobe. I will not be able to give support on this free preset or to help you download Adobe’s apps).

Thanks
Thanks Matt!
Thanks Matt for keeping me up-to-date with changes. I mainly use lightroom but periodically go to photoshop. Your explanations are so very helpful to this senior.
always great insight and easy to follow with your instructions
It seems, once you create all of Matt’s landscape masks- if you click on the three dots next to any of the masks, you get the option to delete all empty masks.
Thanks for the great info! Appreciate seeing how to use them with different types of photos.
Very comprehensive presentation. Thanks!
Matt, You are great! Thanks for keeping us up to date on all the latest and greatest.
Incredibly helpful! Thanks, Matt
Thanks, Matt, this video was very helpful.
Thank you for expanding our understanding of this new LR feature and providing examples so we can see the benefits in action.
Thanks Matt. Good stuff.
Matt:
I am using the presets from your video. I want the sky to have clouds. Is that possible?
I do a lot of bird photography.
Carl
Hi. Youโd have to go into Photoshop and do a sky replacement. Lightroom doesnโt have that feature. Thanks!
What an awesome video letting us know not only about the update but what you did to help us as editors of our photos making it easier and faster. I would recommend your Scenesplit AI presets to anyone who is serious about making better photographs. Thank you Matt.
If it weren’t for you and Blake, these updates would escape me. If I saw them when PS updated, I wouldn’t know what to do. Thank you. As an aside, I appreciate your always showing PS. I tried LR way back and stopped after version 3 and went back to Bridge and PS.
Thanks for making us aware of this new feature, Matt. And thanks for the great tips on using it.
