Hi everyone. I have a bird feeder in my backyard and managed to grab a nice photo of a cardinal sitting on a branch nearby (a branch that may have been artificially set there by me) 😉
Anyway, while I was editing the photo, some how I ended up doing something really different to it – something I don’t do very often. I added a texture and even some snow. It’s not meant to be serious. It doesn’t matter if some one calls it a photo or digital art. All that matters is that it was just plain fun to do. So I thought I’d record a quick tutorial that went over what I did.Â
Great video, Matt! I love working with textures, and this gave me so tips I will certainly use.
I don’t see that little clipping icon on my screen – where would I find that? Thanks great tutorial!
Thanks, Matt! Fun and informative, as always… you’re the best!
Thanks, Matt. Very informative…as always.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Thank you Matt for the great ideas !
Merry Christmas, Matt,
Thanks for this very relaxed, creative tutorial! I really enjoy the pace and demeanor in your videos! It’s like two ole friends conversing about their favorite passion over a cup of tea!
Great tutorial! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Fun! Also, during the month of December, Adobe is giving away free stuff (brushes, actions, etc.) and they have a pack of free textures that would be a nice companion to this tutorial. Here’s a direct link. Good through the end of December, I think? https://create.adobe.com/2019/12/5/letterform-action-set.html
Thanks Matt. That was fun!
Thanks, it was easy and fun. I’ll definitely try to do smth alike.
Thank you Matt, I enjoyed the tutorial.
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and may the New Year be filled with happiness and love.
Greetings from the Land Down under
Fun is what all this is about. Thanks for the fun winter video…here up north no sane cardinal would get caught in snow storm! (<:
I'm obsessed with filters in ON1 and you showed me something I haven't tried. Happy holidays MattK and family.
Very nicely done Matt. Thank you and have a joyous holiday.
Hi Matt.
I enjoyed your tutorial very much. I learn something new every day…even if I am 80 years old.
Thank you Matt,
Sheriff Kenny
Somehow my invitation to the party must have been lost. Perhaps next year ?. Enjoyed the tutorial!
Thank you, Matt, good tut. I love working with textures and always looking for new ways to alter the effect.
Thanks again.
Great tutorial Matt. Happy Holidays to you and your Family.
Thanks. I enjoy the way you present the material. This is an aspect of ON1 I’ve yet to feel comfortable with, and this seems like a perfect little project.
Very cool!
Great ideas. thanks. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Your tutorial idea is great. It set me wondering what to do about a a reindeer close up in a poor background (the reindeer is wearing a halter) What would you do? I could send you the pic. I done a selection on it, but the selection is a bit rough
I mostly take landscape pictures and haven’t thought much about using a texture on them probably because I’ve never had the time to spend learning the more advanced methods of processing pictures. Now that I have the time, I have learned so much from your tutorials. This tutorial certainly opens up more opportunities on how I might use them in landscape photography. Thank you, Matt. Happy holidays and good luck with the party.
Thanks Matt, very useful!
Wonderful ideas, thank you Matt! And a very happy holiday to you and your family.
Merci Matt ! for the good ideas !
Thanks Matt for planting some ideas into this 84 year old brain.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you Matt for yet another informative video.
These are BRILLIANT and have opened up so many creative avenues for my photography.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and successful party.
I enjoyed this brief tutorial! While I have used textures in On1 for a while, this tutorial gave me several new approaches. Thanks Matt!
