Hi all. I always get asked if and where I’m teaching live. So I figured I’d give you a quick run down of things coming up.
March 31st – April 2nd (This weekend): CanAm Photo Expo
I taught at this last year and loved it. What a great group of people. And for anyone that’s never been, this expo is huge. Doug Hansgate and the others who run this, are top notch. They’re incredibly concerned about learning, but also provide a nice expo floor with photography vendors and lots of other great experiences. Seriously, before I left last year I told Doug sign me up for next year.
Classes I’m teaching:
- Lightroom and Photoshop for Landscape Photographers
- Photoshop for Lightroom Users
- Removing Distractions and Other Stuff from your Photos
April 20th – 22nd – Photoshop World Orlando (find out more here)
So happy that Photoshop World is back in Orlando. That means I get to drive there! This is of course one of the biggest shows around. A great line up of instructors and classes, and it’s always such a nice place to get to see and meet people.
Classes I’m teaching:
- Lightroom Mobile Bootcamp
- Getting Creative with Lightroom Presets
- Landscapes and Light
- Lightroom Lab
May 15th – Creative Live Photoshop Week (find out more here)
Photoshop Week is a whole week of free, live online training over at Creative Live. All day, every day. I even saw this year that Dave Cross and Corey Barker will be there along with some other great instructors. I’m mostly doing my thing on Monday May 15th.
Classes I’m teaching:
- Photoshop Compositing Secrets (the set up and shoot)
- Photoshop Compositing Secrets (the editing)
- A Lightroom class soon to be determined
- A Photoshop class soon to be determined
BIOComm Conference in Portland, OR – June 23 (find out more here)
I taught at this conference last year in New Orleans. This year it’s in Portland, OR. This was another one where it was my first time there, but I immediately said to sign me up for next year. It’s a smaller group, which is really nice. I love those conferences and workshops where you get to know people. I can usually turn the microphone off, and just talk to people. Take some questions and run my presentations in a little more casual way since it’s a smaller group of people. It’s open to the public so if you’re interested click the link above. Also, this year we’re going to head out early and do some shooting around Portland. Should be a blast… Can’t wait!
November 3rd – Natures Vision Expo (find out more here)
I’m giving the keynote at Natures Visions Photo Expo in November. I’ve never been to this one, but I’m really looking forward to it.
More details to come….
Matt – I think you’ll like Nature Visions. It’s a nice venue–normally a concert hall, BTW–with very interested amateur (yet very proficient) photographers. The images in the accompanying show are judged in from the six photo clubs in the Northern Virginia area, so you will some high quality work. Many of the photographers are landscape specialists so you should see some great photos. Julieanne was the keynote several times so she can provide some insight. I’m not sure we’ll be there this year as we dropped membership in one of the affiliated clubs and those won’t enter photographs and aren’t likely to come as public viewers. But you should have a nice time as a speaker. The accompanying vendor “show”–a much smaller version of the PSW Exhibit Hall–might interest you as well. Enjoy! Email me if you have any questions you can’t get answered by the staff.
Hi Matt,
Looking forward to meeting you at PSW Orlando!
Is there a secret Photoshop System handshake?
Thanks Bob. I could show you but I’d have to kill you 🙂
Matt, Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us at the Can Am Expo last weekend in Buffalo, NY! Your workshops were great and I learned so much! I love the way you teach with your easy to understand explanations and demos! I also appreciated the recordings for your presentations – truly a gift! Thanks for the wonderful classes!
