My friends over at MPIX just released a new app. But it’s totally not what I thought it was going to be. It’s geared toward exactly what I always find myself telling people to do – print your cell phone photos.

I downloaded it last night. In about 1 minute I had an order ready to go to print using my existing MPIX account. It was really simple and very well done considering the goal is to get you to turn your cell phone photos into prints. My favorite thing is that there’s NOT a ton of options. You get to choose between 4×6 or 5×7. Color or Black and White. You can rotate and crop. And you can choose between their matte-finish or metallic paper. That’s it.

Here’s some screen captures from the app that show each step.

So give it a try. Here’s the link to download from iTunes. It’s (of course) free as well.

Note: Last time I did this I took a bunch of heat but I’m doing it again (and will continue to do it) because I REALLY believe in the concept of printing your cell phone photos. Anyone that makes it easier in my book is worth mentioning. So if it bothers you just move on. Don’t leave a nasty comment. Because then I’ll have to leave one back, and our day will then become embroiled in nasty-comment-ness 🙂

Have a good one!
