It seems that Photoshop has new beta features more and more these days and we’re actually being prompted to download them. In this show, Matt Kloskowski and Brian Matiash discuss the new beta and it’s features so you can not only find out what’s new, but also decide if it’s worth downloading or not.Â
How to Listen/Watch
You can listen to the podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google. Or you can watch it below.
The podcast is NOT intended to be visual in any way, so all you’re doing is watching the two of us talk and nothing else. But if that’s the way you prefer it, feel free. Personally, podcasts are something I listen to when I have nothing else to do, or to keep me busy while doing something else – so I never watch them.

PRO TIP: I typically listen to podcasts on my phone while driving or in the gym. And I usually set most podcasts to 1.25x – 1.5x speed to get through it faster.
Since this IS NOT A TRAINING tutorial, and it’s just us talking, I think you can speed us up and get through it faster so feel free to give it a try. I can’t help you find that setting, but again… most podcast apps have it, so poke around. If you can use Lightroom and Photoshop I have no doubt you can figure out how to use a podcast app ?
Matt,
What are those silver boxes with a big G on them on the background?
Have you noticed any bugs in the beta that I should take into consideration when deciding whether or not to install the beta?
Hi. I haven’t used it much to notice bugs, but even if I did or didn’t experience a bug – it doesn’t mean you won’t. It’s beta software… I’d stay away personally.
One thing that annoys me about PS beta is that it changes all the file associations to beta. If I open an image file, it defaults to beta. If I want to use the production version, I have to choose it specifically.
Hi Ed. Sorry, but It’s a beta. Nothing should annoy you since it’s experimental software at the very core. Install at your own risk and expect nothing in return is the best rule of thumb for a beta.
