ON1 just released what they call a “dot 5” update to Photo Raw 2019. It’s traditionally the biggest update between their normal yearly releases (2018, 2019, etc…).
I did a quick video on what’s new so you can get up to speed.
Also, if you’d like to download a free 30-day trial of ON1, just click here to visit their site and download.
I always appreciate your classes and update information for ON1. You mentioned in the video that there’s a better connection with Apple pictures. Does that mean ON1 will now recognize and browse pictures in IPhoto? I would SO like that feature!
Matt, thanks so much for keeping us ”up to speed”. As always, your video is a great balance of the essentials we need to know delivered in an efficient, well produced package.
Another great update from ON1. The app just gets better all the time. The create Canvas feature may be the starting of a Print Module in the future, which I hope they add. That is a great start. Thanks Matt!
Thanks Matt! Always enjoy your tutorials and courses.
Do you know of a way to remove spots across multiples images without having to go one by one in On1 ?
If you mean dust spots caused by something on the lens, the answer will be no. Where the spot appears in the image will depend upon the lens itself; a zoom lens will place the spot in different locations, depending upon the focal length being used . Even if it is a fixed focus lens and the spot is in the same place, the subject matter will play a large part in whether or not you even can see the spot.
I was too general in my question. Lightroom allows you to save a preset-like command that you generate with one image which you can then apply to other images you have taken. Yes the lens can have an effect but if the images are using the same lens at the same general time of the first image, it will help clean the dust spots in a batch mode for the rest of the images.
LR also has settings to help visualize the dust spots.
This post is not meant in any way to highlight one program over another. I am trying to move away from LR, and dust spots are something we have to live with when changing lenses a lot as I have to.
watching this in full-screen mode, the image is not sharp. 360p is not adequate
Youtube hasn’t rendered the hi-res version yet.
