As they’ve been doing every October at Adobe MAX, Adobe has updated their line of applications and Photoshop wasn’t left out. Here’s a quick video that overviews the latest updates.
Also, here’s a link to Adobe’s website for some detailed info on each feature:Â https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/whats-new.html#
Hi there
How do I make a contactsheet? No longer available under Batch processes?
Great video Matt. Thank you for sharing these updates with us!
Love to read the comments on the blog and I am a great fan of Matt, his courses and his books. However, here is an interesting thought. With each update of P/S I become less of an enthusiast. Years ago when photo editing and manipulating was more difficult I spent hours on projects but got a great deal of satisfaction from those projects. Now as Adobe make things simpler and far easier my satisfaction becomes less. What used to take me ages can now be done at the click of a mouse. Brilliant but nowhere near as much satisfaction. I really feel Photoshop is moving away from the keen amateur. Suppose that’s progress
Hi Michael – with the exception of some improvements to content aware fill, what can now be done in a click vs taking longer. And honestly, I can’t think of any enhancement that they’ve made where they actually took away the previous functionality. They’ve just added enhancements, but your existing tools are all still there if you’d like to go the long route.
Live lend Mode View – FINALLY! And thanks so much Matt for keeping your tutorial within a respectable amount of time considering the easy to understand new enhancements involved – under 12 minutes was perfect and will allow LOTS of viewers to choose YOUR concise and time efficient tutorial!!!
That was great. Thank you.
Matt – Contact Sheet from Bridge does not work as it used to. I am doing a Kelby PhotoWalk book for my group and it helps me insert images into a page if I create a contact sheet from Bridge and selecting there the 5 images for a specific page. I usually have lots of other files open in PS at this stage so I do not want to create the contact sheet from within PS – doing that in Bridge has worked so well for me over the years. Now that I have the new version, the contact sheet mode from Bridge does not recognize that I have files highlighted to create this contact sheet. How can I restore this function?
Thanks, Matt. I especially like the blend mode previews and CTL+Z.
Ps crashed after I installed the update though it installed correctly. It’s working again now.
Thanks for the update. Very helpful.
Short and sweet – great update.
My computer updated to these last night. One of your tricks I tried to duplicate… the one about the font size. But when I close out of PS CC2019 it says I do not have permission to make changes to preferences. What is that all about?
Hi Catherine. Not sure about that one.
Hi Matt, this is why I buy all courses from you you are a great teacher short and sweet and straight to the point and such a wander full after sales service keep up the good work.
Ps: I’m happy when I can put somebody in your direction and then they commenting wish i had known that before.

Thanks so much Matt; great tutorial on the new features; especially the CTRL+Z.
Great tutorial. Thank you Matt.
YEA!!!!! What great changes, (esp ctrl+Z—finally!), color wheel modifications and wow–the control now in content aware! What a terrific introduction to them, Matt. Thank you.
you are wonderful ! thanks Matt,, you are in my neck of the woods in LA
Excellent update as usual. Thank you.
Hello Matt. Updated but icon still reflects PS 2018?? Should it reflect PS 2019??
As always a great video update. Thank you very much!
Very helpful – thanks for this very clear explanation, Matt.
